PSYCHOLOGY CLUB
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 11, 2026
This policy explains how the student-managed Psychology Club website handles information. It covers this website and the club’s use of its linked signup form. Other organizations’ websites and services have their own policies.
Information You Provide
- Club signup: the linked Google Form asks for your name, email address, and what you hope to gain from the club or would like us to know.
- Officer applications: the website form collects your name, Seattle Colleges email address, role interests, reasons for consideration, any experience or ideas and availability you choose to provide, and confirmations of Psychology Club membership, Psi Beta membership, and a GPA of at least 3.25. It does not request your exact GPA or a transcript.
- Email: when you contact us, we receive your email address and the information in your message.
Please do not submit passwords, student ID numbers, transcripts, medical information, or other sensitive documents through these forms. Direct disability documentation and accommodation requests to the college’s Accessibility Resource Center.
How Information Is Used
We use signup information to coordinate membership and communicate about club activities, application information to review officer interest and eligibility, and messages to respond to questions. Application information is not displayed publicly by this website. The club does not sell application or membership information or use it for advertising.
Where Information Goes And Who Can Access It
This website is hosted by Netlify. Officer applications are stored in Netlify Forms, and notifications containing application information are sent to PsychologyClub@seattlecolleges.edu. The club’s Google Form stores signup responses in Google’s services, including its linked response spreadsheet. Email messages and application notifications are also stored by the club email service.
People with access to these accounts, forms, spreadsheets, and the club mailbox can access the relevant submissions. The site is currently administered through its organizer’s Netlify account. Club officers, advisers, and administrators should use access only for club administration and application review. Emailing an application creates an additional copy outside Netlify.
Technical Data And Cookies
The club’s website code does not include advertising pixels, embedded social media, or third-party analytics scripts, and it does not set its own cookies. Netlify and other providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and security or spam-detection information as part of delivering their services. Netlify’s private-preview tools may use authentication and session technologies while the site is in preview.
Following a signup or Instagram link takes you to a separate service; its privacy and cookie practices apply there. See Netlify’s Privacy Policy, Google’s Privacy Policy, and Instagram’s Privacy Policy.
Retention And Privacy Requests
Copies may exist in Netlify, Google Forms and Sheets, and the club mailbox. A fixed retention period has not yet been established. Contact PsychologyClub@seattlecolleges.edu to ask about your information, request a correction or deletion, or stop club email updates. Requests will need to be reviewed across the relevant systems; deletion may be limited by applicable college records requirements, legal obligations, or provider backups. This policy does not promise absolute confidentiality or override applicable student-record protections.
Changes And Contact
We will update this page when the site’s data practices change. Send privacy questions to PsychologyClub@seattlecolleges.edu. For institutional records matters, see Seattle Colleges Public Records.
